After being picked up at your hotel, we will bring you to the southern-most point of the Punta Cana coastline. The day will start with a hike to the top of El Farallon Cliff. This hike will let you experience beautiful tropical forest landscapes and you’ll learn more about the land’s herbs, foliage, natural medicines which are still being utilized by healers in the Dominican Republic today.
More than 500 Years of History
We will arrive at the entrance of the cave after hiking for around 25 minutes. Rappelling is not necessary. In fact, we have eco-friendly stairs which will bring you down into the cave’s depths. You will explore the vast chambers and caverns of the cave alongside our trained guides and see ancient formations within the cave. Take in the majesty of the Taino Indian petroglyphs and see where bats reside. We will exit through a completely separate part of the cave and return to base via our original hiking path. At this point we will relax and enjoy nachos, chips, sandwiches, or a hot dog along with water, juice, or soda.
Learn All about the Local Flora and Fauna
After this break, we’ll continue along an eco trail which includes humid and dry forests. You can check out an Orchid, Fern, Cactus, Bromeliad and endemic plants area. You’ll learn about each species as we stop along the way. Although we’ll focus on these specific plants, you will see a myriad of plans and wild flowers all along the trip.
Hoyo Azul – The Most Sought After Attraction in Punta Cana
Our final destination is also the most popular experience…Hoyo Azul. A local cenote (natural pool), Hoyo Azul has pristine, clear water and is located off the base of a cliff. You won’t be able to resist jumping in and experiencing this gorgeous lagoon!
We hope that you will join us and experience this brisk hike through Cap Cana, filled with awe-inspiring nature.

– For Safety reasons pregnant women cannot participate in this excursion.

– You need to present a paper voucher for this excursion.

Helpful Tips
– Bring bug repellent, mosquitoes can be annoying while walking through the eco trail towards the cave and Hoyo Azul.
– Wear comfortable walking shoes, the trek to the cave and Hoyo Azul can be uncomfortable if you’re wearing flip flops.

Cancellation Policy
– Tours are non-refundable for no show.
– Cancellations must be made 72 hours in advance of the scheduled pick up time or there will be no refund.
– Should a tour be cancelled due to bad weather we will reschedule at your earliest convenience. If your dates are not flexible and the rescheduling cannot be done a full refund will be issued.
