Hi Danielle, the ride to Samana will be on a bus. We inquired about this and apparently the company that provided the planes is not operating so the transportation to Samana is via bus. We’re really sorry the information on our site was out of date for this tour, we’ll correct it as soon as possible. Also, please note that you didn’t purchase the tour from us but from Viator so please make sure to address any questions to them or directly to the tour operator in the future. We wouldn’t want you to miss out on any important information.

I just booked this excursion and I’m a little confused as it states there is a plane ride but upon confirmation it says bus ride? Can you please clarify the activities. Thanks

Hola Hai,

The tour itself IS suitable for seniors and children. The only portion of the tour where you need to decide if it’s ok for them to do is the ride/walk down to the waterfall in Samana. You can ride a horse or you may walk if you prefer not to horseback ride. The walk is about 25 minutes to the fall. Once you arrive, whether by foot or horseback, you will walk down a somewhat steep stairway to the base of the fall. There is a handrail, but it can be a bit physical for some visitors.

We are planning on staying at now onyx which is a new resort. I did not see it listed in the list of hotels to be picked up at. Would we be able to be picked up from there?
